Unlicensed cancer, diabetes medicine worth 6.6 crores seized in Kolkata
On Saturday night, two rounds of gunfire were fired at the car of Papai Ghosh, the Youth Trinamool Congress (TMC) President of Baharampur, as he was traveling near Kashimbazar Ring Road in Murshidabad. Ghosh, who was returning home after work, was targeted when the miscreants opened fire at his vehicle. The shooting caused loud noises, which attracted the attention of nearby residents. However, the assailants quickly fled the area before anyone could respond.
Local residents came out after hearing the gunshots, but by the time the police were notified, the attackers had already escaped. Baharampur Police arrived at the scene and began an investigation. Officers questioned nearby residents and gathered information to determine the motives behind the attack. The police have launched a manhunt to find the individuals responsible for the shooting.
